audio scavenger hunt

Participants in this event received an "audio passport" with a number they could text to hear stories and get clues which led them on a scavenger hunt throughout downtown Anchorage. At each stop on the hunt, a different artist made limited-edition prints in the passport book. The stories looked at the changes that have occurred in Anchorage in recent history—from being entirely forested 100 years ago, to becoming an oil boom town—and also took listeners to an imagined future.

 Presented in partnership with the Anchorage Museum, this event also featured a participatory art project, live music, free food and door prizes.
